The interim Board of Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) has noted the most recent developments following yesterday’s arrest of four more officials attached to its Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC).

This follows the court appearance of LNW’s former Chief Executive Officer, Mr Phineas Legodi along with the Chairperson of the Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC), Mr Ngwako Michael Moseamedi and a businessman, Mr Emanuel Safalafala on charges related to alleged tender fraud in Polokwane on Monday, as a result of their earlier arrest by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation.

LNW Interim Board Chairperson Joe Mathebula said they have noted the developments and will allow the law to take its course. The entity is of the opinion that it will continue to stabilise the administration of the organisation and continue its mandate of providing the people of Limpopo with quality bulk water.

The four officials are expected to make their first court appearance on Monday.
